Sig change pre-processing.

  1. I think that is my ship out there on the horizon in the early morning
mist and with a bit of luck it should be docked and unloaded by the end
of the month and I will be looking to purchase a new sig.

If I can find another VT at a sensible price I will snap it up but if
not then I will need to think about a completely new model. If I do
that I will have a few more horses under me bum than the breathless 42 I
enjoy at the moment. That much is for sure but otherwise I am fairly
undecided as to what to even look at.

So guys and girls what naked bikes are out there with about 50-60 horses
under 220 kilos and with a seat on the low side and a colour scheme
    where black is the default.

    Suzuki SV650
    Caviga Raptor
    Honda Bros400
    Yamaha Virago 535

And I'm sure numerous other chickwheels fit the bill.

Isn't the SV650 more in the 70-80 range? They seem kinda quick compared to
the other bikes in the list... Lovely sounding engine on open pipes though
    :}

Don't get a Virago - I don't like them and will be forced to kick you off on
    the way past.

Steve, come to think of it ISTR Mike @ the black horse is selling his
year old virago, it's got maybe 100 miles on it.. Dunno what your
    budget runs to though.

Lot of them about, acquiring a reasonable reputation, V twin. However
seat height may be an issue considering my VT is only 760mm and that is
a bit of a stretch. The width of the seat may make a difference.

    Worth adding to the list.

Ugly fucking beast innit eh? I wonder how it would look with me huge
artificial leather throw over handbags with the big buckles and tassels
and all. You'd be making an interesting statement I reckon. Seat height
is good, it is a V twin and they also come in black.

Perhaps a tad more engine than I was thinking about really but hey ho it
is only a doubling of what I ride at the moment and what is a factor of
    two between friends?

Apart from widow making then, has it got any other sort of reputation
that might interest me? Anything really. Does it run out of petrol so
quick that yer arse never has time to get sore? Can three sets of red
lights in a row going through Romford be a bit of a stretch for the
cooling system? Are you permitted to ride one wearing a helmet in a
    colour other than black?

I do have a bit of a hankering to have a chug on one as it goes, just to
see if it rides as bad as it looks.

I could be seriously tempted by a plain and simple XV750. Pending a
ride in traffic the 1100 is sort of on the list already as well but
there is no fucking way on this gods earth I will ever be in a position
to admit to owning and operating a 535 fucking Virago. Snot gonna
    happen. Fucking tarts bike innit?

Good point. Memory recalls it as moderately hi chrome but otherwise as
factory am I right? Is it in an xOSM piccie anywhere? Would he be
aware of the fact that in my hands it would be ridden into the ground as
enthusiastically as I am able and if the mere thought of it causes him
to clutch at his chest how much does Eddie want to pay me to ring him up
    and make an offer?

If it is the 535 then no I don't want one. I am looking for a power
    increase as a minimum requirement.

Hopefully it runs to a new one but I would prefer pre-depreciated.

Look sonny, if I want a fucking virago then I shall have a fucking
virago and you can fucking try kicking me off if you are fucking man
enough. Coppice? I agree with you about the 535 though.

The 750 is a very nicely proportioned bike. Criticism, if any, can be
made of the fact that exhausts are not symmetrical and when I go out and
about showing the world how fucking good I look on a bike I do it riding
the thing not standing beside it with the bike presenting its best face
whilst on the sidestand. Nevertheless, given that this was undoubtedly
in the mind of the designers they did a splendid job.

I was going to kick you off, remember? Then you kinda called my bluff by
going on about 535s and 750s and I went very quiet cos I didn't realise
there were two types of Virago. Ahem.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my comments in anther post.

I suspect that if you bother to pay attention further you may discover
that there are in fact more than two types of Virago. I know of 5 basic
models in the XV range, 6 if they did ever make a litrebike[1].

The 535 is a halfway decent bike. Nobody has got any real complaints
about it except for the way that it looks. If you are going to have a
bike that fits visually in a box as low and long as that thing does then
you really don't need to embellish it much but they have and that spoils
    it.

[1] I just had a quick google and I reckon 10 at least and they did.

Mine offered coppice and it sounded close enough phonetically it gets a
tad subtle when you think of what coppice means and I don't know why I
    even fucking bother sometimes.
