  1. What a great little bike. It wasn't quite what I thought it'd be, I was
expecting the one with the flatter tanks and the knee cut-outs but what
    a laugh.

Everything's straight on it, the test ride went well, then I took it on
the motorway and discovered it had the worst fuelling problem.

With Muck's help we investigated the carbs and found what must've been
quarter of an ounce of shite in there. Off we went to Halfords[1] for
some carb cleaner and a fuel filter[2], cleaned it all up and now it
    works like a dream.

It's rather sedate and thrashing the tits off it seems wrong somehow but
it still has to be done.

It needs a bit of a tidy up but pictures here:

Say what you like about it. It's growing on me (and had a lot of stuff
growing in it when I picked it up)

    [1] On his CG <msohpr>
[2] Still got to fit this.

    That's quite tidy, that is.

    Horrible, mind, but tidy.

It likes to go in straight lines, turning it takes some effort after
riding my FZR / Bandit / CG. :)

It rides well, and starts well... but still wants another fettle of the
    carbs and a valve check.
Those carbs were very yucky, and yes, it did look like someone had shit
    in them.
Tidy up? I thought it was good for a SOB.

The girls seem to like it ;)
I'm not sure what that means but it's semi-rural.
It'll be fine when I remove the bin bag from the windows.

    It goes, dunnit?

    Heh ;)
Aye, there were three shades of shite in there.
Well, a quick once over with a damp cloth, then.
    So did I.

The clutch cable still needs sorting though. It felt smoother on the
cable after today but it hasn't stopped that on/off grabby thing. I've
almost got it sussed though, loadsa revs and a bit of paddling.

Indeed, it looks like the unholy union of a Yamaha SR125 and a chopped
    Harley.

    Well done.

I'm quite supprised it ran, with that much stuff in the carbs.

Why not just leave it out in the rain and give it a rub with an oily rag
    from time to time.
Yeh, we didn't have the time to get my cable oiler on the case, but the
new routing did seem to free things up a little.

You could do the old plastic bag / bit of rubber hose / fuel hose clamp
/ engine oil trick with it to get some oil down there. Failing that, a
bit of engine oil dripped on the end of the cable and the lever worked
does make things a bit better.

Bad idea if it's one of those plastic-lined jobbies. You'll just make
the plastic swell and seize the cable completely. Check first.
