The heel on my current boots has worn through, leaving a hole which nicely
grips the sidestand on the gixxer when I try to kick it down, so I'm after
    some new boots.

Sidi vertebra 2 seem to fit the bill and have an ok price. Does anyone have
any better reccomendations or good reasons why I shouldn't go for these?

    TIA

  2. Take a look at Oxtar as well. IIRC they now produce a model with
similar features to the Sidi Vertebra range, plus the Oxtar version
-like many of their models - has been through the EN 13634
    certification tests.

Other brands with EN 13634-conforming boots are Alt-Berg, BMW and Hein
Gericke, although I believe their models lack the features which have
attracted you to the Sidi boot.

Haven't Sidi just released a new boot?

If you can, I'd get the Race ones - much more ankle protection and certainly
worked well when I shinned a car wearing them.

I like the Courier boots, the steel toe cover bits scare people in
    supermarkets.
