Once you have the chair wheel in the air, all the right handers can be
approached as thought you are on a solo. At least such has been my
experience, albeit with a lightweight chair on an R69S BMW.

  4. I remember when the Urals were first imported to Australia
They cost the tidy sum of $1 per c.c., making the 750 BM copy $750 and the
    smaller 350 $350

A BMW with a 1600 boxer from a Suburu (hence the "S") of some
    description, of course :)

Mind you, this factoid might not be terribly obvious soon enough,
since BMW are just about to release a 1600 according to the dealer who
    sold me my bike.

Oh, so that gigantic butt-bruise from a few years ago somehow didn't
    count? :)

Don't be embarrassed Clem, lots of us have small feet. It's nothing to be
    ashamed of.

Heh! Funny, I saw a BMW with a 1600cc VW Beetle motor in it about 10
years ago[1]. Given that the Subaru motor is practically a water-cooled
VW engine, I suppose it was just a matter of time... :)

    BTH
[1] And I suspect that the first such BMW/VW motorcycle was created about
10 minutes after the VW Beetle became available for sale to the general
    public...

That wouldn't work so well if you used the first *2* letters from
    "Subaru". :)

I expect that 1600cc worth of torque reaction would be pretty noticeable
as you wound the throttle on, too!

    That wasn't bike-related, so it doesn't count ;-)

    That's the impolite version :)
I would think so but car wheels and a leading link front end and a
skilled person in control would be fine I'd expect.

Only goes as fast as you wind the throttle :)

Now that is an extremely appropriate machine for hauling a big chair
around - the Panther, not so much the A10. That thing would be firing about
    once per telegraph pole !!

Used to be fun backing off the timing on a Pig to see how slow you could get
it to idle; I reckon we got one down to less than two firings a second.

    Cheers

Geez, Gerry.... Mind in gutter much? :p
No, it was cripple-throwing in Albury. My para friend wasn't hurt, because
me and my hamstring provided a nice soft landing place. Was not a nice ride
home to the Berra. Ouch. ...

betty, dud leg never fixed, thanks
to the surgeon who said "Meh,
there's a little bit of hamstring still
    attached. No surgery necessary.
Of course, if you were a footballer,
    instead of just a middle-aged
    lady biker..." Grrr.

Not at all! You must've missed that little drama... Friend in a wheelchair
fell on me and most of my hamstring got ripped off my butt. Made a noise
like a bullwhip when it snapped! And then I had to ride home to Canberra.
Didn't realise quite how much damage I'd done - only knew it bloody hurt!
Thank gawd my kneecap was there to stop my leg flying off in the opposite
    direction, ha ha ha!
The fact that footballers are deemed worthier, silly!
