Lost[1]. **** me those things are quick. [1] not that I even attempted to race it, but I was doing 100 when this thing absolutely howled past me. Nice to see such a car being driven hard rather than cruising the streets at 1mph with the stereo booming. Oh and the shovlov developed a 'loudness' from the fore direction between pixieville and home this evening. bugger. have to check that out when I get back next time. As for BOSM, muchos fun as ever, thanks to those requiring such - see you next time. Nice to see some new faces, and some old ones that I hadn't seen for ages/met before. -- Dnc B1200 - +30bhp ~|~ VS800 - borked TS150 - squatting ~|~ V2300 - flat cap and rug MIB#26 two#54(soiled) UKRMMA#26 BOTAFOT#153 X-FOT#003
Heh. There was a Celica(?) at the lights on East India Dock Road this evening with the stereo at full chat. You could *see* the rear number plate vibrating, and the brake lights dimmed in time with the bass. Gawd knows what it must have been like inside the car. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/KH500A8/TS250C |_\_____/_| ..74309../..18302.../..3184./.19406 (>|_|_|<) TPPFATUICG#7 DIAABTCOD#9 YTC#4 PM#5 |__|_|__| BOTAFOT #70 BOTAFOF #09 two#11 WG* \ |^| / IbW#0 & KotIbW# BotTOS#6 GP#4 \|^|/ ANORAK#17 IbB#4 '^' RBR Landmarks: 12 Pts: 220 Miles: 914
Truely shite I'd imagine. Dimming of the lights means that the amps aren't getting the power they need and are distorting the bass.
I was standing beside the bike rolling a fag last Summer, by a park in Bedford. There came a noise to my attention, that was reminiscent of a fairground, carried from distance. It proceeded to swell in volume, until I could identify it as a bass beat. A minute or so elapsed, and the sonic source appeared - a small and highly polished car, slowly approaching up the road: easing itself over the road humps and between the potholes lest its plastic skirtings (so essential, the ground-effect around urban streets) be damaged. Shimmering and shimmying, the small black noisebox drew closer - I could see the reflections borne on the windscreen changing, distorting, in time with the beat - but the most amazing effect was that the roof of the car was rapidly swelling and shrinking as the bass filled and emptied the space within. The overall effect was to make the car appear to shimmer, as a mirage on a hot day. Hellish. Ear-bleedingly hellish. And they reckon that listening to earphone-type music on a bike affects your concentration?
