Should we have bumblebees in February?

I think they sting. At least the one which crawled on me a long time ago
did, although having felt it but not seen it, I got hold of it and proceeded
to roll it twixt finger and thumb and I suspect it probably took exception
to that, as any self respecting bee would.

Had I known it was a bee, I wouldn't have bothered as prior to this, they've
    never bothered me.

Regular beez as well, why worry, unless you've deliberately
    They do seem to.

  3. These are not bumblebees. They are a nasty aggressive wild bee; I
wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a strain of African in them.

I'm sure that WUN would be delighted at such a prospect.

  5. Nope. See other posting. BumbleBeez colonies are *very* small.

  6. Depends. Have they told you that they need your help to move 1000 tonnes
of honey to a safe location of your choice?

Dunno, but I was very surprised to see a Pipistrelle bat hunting for insects
outside my mate's window at half four this afternoon.
