I'm 26 and already have fairly fucked knees. You only need to read here
how many offs occur in the vicinity or roundabouts. Heck you witnessed
on just last weekend. I have to utilise lots of roundabouts to get to work.

FFS Ben, it really isn't that difficult. Sure, you're invincible
enough/don't give a flying **** enough to not bother. Others are. What
    gives?

  2. Pertinent? Yes, entirely so. The product launch is taking place at the
Intermot motorcycle exhibition in Munich (B5, Stand 601), as discussed
in other, earlier threads. A significant amount of of developmental
work on textile protective clothing for motorcyclists has been taking
place behind the scenes during the course of this year, so there are
    more products yet to come.

"what gives" is that leathers /won't help/ in that situation. They'll
just reduce the amount of skin abrasions you have. If you come off at
any speed, you hit the deck or a vehicle it *will* hurt. Bones may get
    broken.

You wearing leathers is just another version of Eaton's Teddy Bear. It
makes you feel better, but it doesn't make any fucking difference.

You might want to take that up with Nidge.

I would suggest that if one can manage to wear armour with shorts and
a rolled-up-sleeve shirt, then sliders with trousers are a pretty
    minor task.

More difficult to fit knee sliders to normal trousers.

Utter bollocks - assuming your leathers are armoured. In a couple of my
offs, I've smacked my knee into the tarmac hard enough to bruise through the
armour. I'd bet that without the armour, that would have amounted to a
    fractured kneecap.

The armour used in my new leathers is like a soft, thick rubbery
material so that instead of a force of x pounds per sq in going into
one sq inch, this is spread over four or five. This should mean that a
potential bone break becomes a bruise instead.

its now over 5 days since this post, Can someone [1] point me in the
direction of where I might find more details in the UK?
