I'm working on High Holborn, 2 minutes walk from Holborn tube. Venue
TBA, as the likes of Mups and Zymurgy will probably know where to kick
    things off.

  10. What about (bike) parking? The pavements are quite wide round there
    IIRC.

How about the Melton Mowbray by Chancery Lane tube. Quite a nice pub,
easy to find and doesn't get too busy normally.

There's a bike park in the middle of the road opposite the pub. Its busy
during the day but starts to empty from about 5:00pm.

That'll be it then. Can you give us a ring just as you're going to the
pub? I can leave home then and be there in about 15-20 minutes.

He's two minutes walk from Holborn tube, yet you suggest a pub near Chancery
    lane.

    I don't quite get it :)

Chancery Lane[1] *is* two minutes walk from Holborn tube.

[1] Which is on High Holborn.

    I appreciate it's not far - but it's not 2 minutes.

And if he's in the other direction, it's definitely not 2 minutes.
