Hotmail are getting hot (sic) on junk email and spam - which is quite
surprising as ~75% of the shit I get appears to originate from
@hotmail and @msn addresses. Anyway, they have a super new filter
system (which won't allow you to block the .hotmail or .msn domains)
and some wonderful advice, which I have reproduced below:

"You may also still send junk e-mail direct to but
please do not send attachments as our support agents are unable to
open them. An attachment should instead be sent in the main body of
the e-mail - open the attachment and then copy and paste the
    contents."

Smart, especially considering the cluelessness of the people they are
    (in general) "advising".

I have just sent them my comments on this. If enough other people do
the same, with enough luck it will bring Hotmail support to a grinding
    halt.

    <snip> ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

So the recipient must open the attachment which will then run and infect
    their machine.
Smart move Hotmail but what can you expect for a free service.

Originates from, or claims to originate from?

FIIK. That's why I said "appears to originate from". I just report
'em and block 'em, I CBA to trace 'em.
