I'm shipping an FZ750 gas tank but can't get rid of the gas smell. I
completely drained the tank, let it air dry but the strong smell is still
there. Is there a way to mask or get rid of the smell?

If you mash it on to the exhaust pipe on your car...

Best thing to do is get an old bicycle tube and cut it inhalf, tie half
onto car exhaust(cable tie) and other end into tank, make sure the tap
is out of the tank, leave the car running for 30 mins, the carbon
monoxide kills the fumes, same goes for if you ever want to braise up
an old steel tank if its leaking, this trick prevents tank blowing up.
    Works a treat, good luck.
