I would never trust anyone the seller suggests. Maybe I'm just an
    untrustworthy git.

  3. I have no knowledge of the company you mention, but I'd run a mile.

    1) the domain sounds dodgey as hell
    2) the page looks dodgey
    3) they have no terms and conditions (404)
    4) the domain was registered just over a month ago
    5) the seller wants you to use them

    They look highly trustworthy.

There is a perfectly good way of solving the problem they claim to solve,
and its either to use a letter of credit or a reputable forwarder and cash
against docs or similar. Add the fact that the 'sign up to be a member'
smells very much like some of the 419s in my mail box and I'd walk away -
both from these guys and from anyone who suggested using them. YMMV, but
that what I'd do. You may also want to Google for an alledged similar
'service' someone was offerring with a very dodgey (non)TNT url.

  7. The source for the already ropey looking page shows " saved from
http://escrow-uk.org" and when you go to that addy it's a holding page
for another site, and whois gives a whole heap of gobbledygook that
tells me to run a mile. Quickly.

I noticed that and also the spelling mistake in the status bar at the
    bottom of IE.

Tell us who the seller is then. Maybe we can all avoid them.

There is one escrow site that is well known and trusted, www.escrow.com
but it costs. Frankly, anyone wanting any other one is at the fiddle.
