You can give me £50 if you're feeling generous.

Seeing as how my team lead *and* my manager were both in the list as
well, I wasn't really concerned anyway.
You know what this lot are like - someone would probably volunteer.

The way they're trying to cut back on expenses, you'll be lucky to get
one of these, never mind a 10R:

    I dunno, kids today.

It is a hang over from when we were all Christians and is supposed to be
a couple of minutes of silent prayer for the souls of the dramatically
departed and a few words of comfort for the hearts of the remaining.

In these godless days we are just encouraged to stop spending for a bit
which must bring the system within millimetres of total collapse but
that is a different matter entirely but one which rightly needs to be
    addressed.

the same.... can't have been that important then.

    Of silences..
And then what would happen? Have we got any economists in the house?
Sometimes I want to pick humanity up by its collective throat and
shake it. Stop buying plastic crap FFS.
I've heard the 'we're going to freeze debt repayments to the tune of 3
billion' line - sounds impressive - until you look at the figures -
    that's about a months worth :(

Apparently Mr Brown has set the elimination of debt owed by the
world's poorest nations as one of the goals for the presidencies of
the G8 and the European Union this year.

Talk is cheap and all that.

A colleague was on a conference call when the hooters went off. She, and
everyone else on the call, shut up for the duration.

    Apart from Numpty Boy...

"Hello? Hello? Hello?" Pause. "Hello? Hello?"

Drops the line, dials in again.

    "Hello? Hello? Hello?"

    ....and eventually gave up.

    Heh.

I believe his intentions are good...
I wonder what would have happened if he'd had the leadership from the
    start.
But we deserve better damn it.
