Hiya Peoples I had bad experience on my way home from work Monday night. While driving the work van home along the Westgate Fwy at about 5:40pm I was hit from behind rather hard. I was slowing down with the traffic flow when I was hit from behind by a lady in an EF Falcon, She said she was doing aprox 80kmh, While I had slowed to about 10-15kmh, Frightened the F!@# out of me, While I rolled to the side of the Fwy, Her car was stranded in the middle of the right lane, I ran back to make sure she was ok & noticed she required medical attention, So I ran back the my van & rang the Ambo & Police. While I was doing this, two guys stopped, pushed her car to the side, jumped back into there cars & drove away! Thanks for making sure everybody was ok, NOT! wankers! I was'nt even asked if I was ok, One of the guys asked the lady then left. The towy was there within mins, And the TAC guy was there within a min of the towy, The Ambo & Police arived about 20mins later. The Ambo guys checked her over, loaded her into the Ambo, She had chest pain & a sore shoulder, An airbag & seatbelt will do that, They then checked me over, Except for abit of the shakes, I was declared ok to go, The Police took statements & said I could go. They advised me to just go over to the Shell servo at the base on the Westgate bridge, get a drink & relax, I was still a little shakey. I did as they said, but after about 5 mins I started to feel very ordinary, Headache, sore neck & shoulder, lower back pain & an aching right knee. So I called for another Ambo just to be sure. They arrived after about 15mins & took me to the Western General Hospital, Where the Docs checked me over & let me go, That was at about 9pm. My work manager had actually driven in from Nariwarren to make sure I was ok, He then took me home to Hoppers Crossing. Thanks Tom. Well it's Thursday evening now as I type this, And my knee still aches & my shoulder is too, as is the lower back, Went to Physio today & had some work done, I'll get better with time she said, just got some excersises to do. The bummer bit at the moment is that the Doc said no driving or riding for 1 to 2 weeks, Being driven about at work isn't so bad I suppose. The accident happened just passed the Montigue st onramp, before the City link turnoff, In the far right lane. The Police charged the lady with Neg driving, And her car is'nt to good either, Front stoved in quite a bit, The Telstra van needs the rear step replaced & that's about it. The rear of those vans would shake of a semi hitting them I recon. lol. I could still open the tailgate, But I didn't due to the fact that inside the rear looked like a bomb had hit it, stuff everywhere. Not looking forward to cleening that up. Anyway, enough of my rambling, Just thought I'd let people know about my experience & let those who may have seen it know what happened, As few bikes went passed. Later peoples.
