Actually a double chair is needed so mum can breastfeed on the way to
rallies (talk about a milk shake).

I have been considering the placement of a tow bar on my outfit as well,
mounted behind the bike would make it a very wide rig as it is 1.9 metres
wide now with a trailer behind the centre line of the bike it is likely to
    end up being 2.1.

The ideal setup is having the trailer following the same set of wheel tracks
as the bike particularly on dirt roads and rally entrances.

  7. Had mine pulling down the inside edge of the chair, it keeps the trailer
centred so you have a cahnce of running in two tracks instead of 4 if you
    towed directly behind the bike.

With the outfit already pulling to the left a bit cause of the weight of the
chair, it really didn't make that much difference to the handling except for
hard braking. I took the sidecar and trailer right round OZ with no real
    handling probs, 4-500km a day.
