  1. It was looking so promising.

Clumsy cunts the lot of them.

Anyone notice JL nearly chinning himself slipping on the pond?

Considering the rider went to apologise straight after the race, to then
be told that should have resulted in the insulted smacking the shit out
    of the insulter.

I'm sure Stoner will be Gibernated at a later date, again

  6. I just thought it was such a lovely turn of phrase. It should become a
    meme.

I loved Spalder's comment "Stoner suffers another Ducati front end
    crash"

It might have been clever if the situations had been reversed but as it
was it came across as being an obnoxious Aussie twat not being big
enough to accept a genuine apology. Rossi should send him a photo of
his trophy collection so Stoner knows what he could have achieved if
    he'd been talented enough.

  9. I don't disagree. The thing that struck me most about it was that for him
to have put more than 3 words together without stopping to think it must
have been very well rehearsed and in all probability the product of some
oik from the back of the garage, probably in marketing. It made me laugh.
Mind you, as VD says, a smack in the gob as a reply would have been
    funnier.

I did like the way he went to apologise, but kept his helmet on :)

If he'd just waited another lap before trying that overtake, I think
that would have been one of the all-time great MotoGP races.

He's the only rider I really want to see fail and todays performance
has done nothing to change my mind. I thought it was really quite
comical that there was some whinging about the marshalls helping Rossi
and ignoring Stoner but I'd have done the same.

That annoyed me too, Rossi had his leg stuck under the bike [1] and
tiny-tears only had to go over and pick his own one off the pile. But
all we get is how unfair it all was.

    [1] bike-anna-half?

There's a translation going around from a Spanish cameraman
who saw Rossi's apology. Apparently it was:

Stoner (smiling): “How’s your shoulder? Is it okay?”
Rossi (helmet still on): “I’m very sorry.”
Stoner: “Okay. You have some problem with your shoulder?”
    Rossi: “I make a mistake”
Stoner: “Yeah. Obviously your ambition outweighed your talent.”
    Rossi: “Eh?”
Stoner: “Ambition is more than the talent.”
    Rossi: “I’m very sorry.”
    Stoner: “No problem.”

Dave was right - Rossi should have knocked his teeth down his throat.

I disagree. He'll be having his comments rammed down his throat for the
rest of his life whereas a quick smack from Rossi would have been
forgotten by the start of next season. He might have been justified if
had been someone in their first season but a multiple World Champion? I
    don't think so.

I've got money on him to win the championship though. So long as he can
keep it upright (and if not for Rossi, he probably would've done this
time) he stands a good chance of winning in the long run.

    Lorenzo, definitely.

Pedrosa, depends on his fitness. He was riding well today but that was
in the wet. In the dry he can't go full distance. Be interesting to see
how he is after his op.
