"Shake well before use"

Exactly how long before use is "well before"?

 

Remember to shake after use as well.

 

In uk.rec.motorcycles, Eiron amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:

I always shake after use[1] but it doesn't always work.

[1] Except when in public places. I still shake it but not the same as
if I was at home.

 

As long as it takes for your booty.
