I wouldn't mind a go on the CBX or the Duke, but the only one I'd
contemplate owning is the Jota, and only if I was able to look after it
properly. This looks like a summer weekend collection, to impress his mates
    with.

Aye, and he gives the impression of not actually riding them, which is
a criminal offence in my book (and one reason I flogged the 400/4 to
Blaney, although it's had even _less_ use since then). His comment on
the CBX "Once a month I start it up and let it get nice and warm to
ensure there's no condensation in the exhausts". What's wring with
taking it out for a quick spin if you're going to go to that effort?

Lets it tick over for twenty minutes? That's probably doing more harm than
good. He should put fifty or a hundred miles on it and get it properly
warmed up - assuming it's not on a SORN...

    In
A wring and a quick spin should dry it out nicely.

To be fair, I did this with the Duke the other day, and no way was it
going out on the roads because (a) the weather was utterly foul and (b)
it was at the back of the garage and I've have had to move three other
bikes to get the damn thing out.

Been doiing much the same with my XJ since the beginning of December. It's
just too cold, wet, windy, icy, salty and other things.

Hmmm, where's my copy gone, fssking lost in the post or something?

I actually know someone who can claim the last 3, wondering if he's been
    shopping.... [1]

[1] Brain-surgeon, I guess you need to be to raise the cash for that kind
    of shopping....

  9. Hmm. has he got all these wrecks cos he cant afford a proper bike, or
is he just a summer fairy who only comes (out) once a year. I wouldnt
give him feck all for the lot of them. Bikes are for all year round.
not for penile extensions in summer>

    Either:

    (a) That's a piss-poor attempt at humour; or
    (b) I suggest you **** right off now with your "I'm reet fucking hard me
'cos I ride my Benly all-year-roond" shite 'cos I, for one, have heard that
kind of bollocks too many times to be arsed to give you any more chances
    than you've just used up.

I don't use mine all year round. Sunny winter days yes, howling gales
and sleet, no thanks. Does that make it a strap on?
