    Me: full service please
Them: No problem, pop her in weds. You can have a courtesy bike, should take
4 hours but pick her up thurs so we can do the valve clearances while she's
    cold.
    Me: No worries.

    Thurs

    Me: She ready?
Them: Nope, prob with the battery, we're gonna put it on charge overnight
and see if the optimate comes up green.
    Me: Oh, ok

    Fri:

    Me: She ready?
Them: Battery came up green but she won't start, gimme til tomoro
Me: Oh, I'm off for the weekend, can I pick her up monday
    Them: sure.

    Monday

    Me: She ready?
Them: I've not had time, I'm on my own right now, should get to it later.
    Me: Oh ok.

    Tuesday

Me: IS SHE BLOODY READY YET??????
Them: Not had time, 2 more jobs to finish first then i'll try and look at
    her this afternoon.
    Me: Hummpphhhff

Any advice on what to include in tomoro's conversation with them?
I'm thinking either.... 'I'll be down in 10 minutes to put the bloody
battery on myself' or 'can I have a discount coz you took so fucking
    long?'

And...anyone else got a 550 Zephyr? How do you get them to stop? The CG
    brakes were better....

They're bullshitting you. They've most likely not touched your bike -
or they've done something bad and are playing for time to fix it.

I'd just turn up and take my bike away, IIWY. They don't get paid for
anything they can't *prove* that they've done, either. Oh, and which
    workshop is it?

Sexist, but how about, "I'm coming down this afternoon with a couple of
blokes and a fucking big baseball bat, you cunts."

And naming and shaming is standard procedure round here...

    Update:

Popped in, bike is still in one piece as it crossed my mind they might have
    broken it :)

Said they can't start it now and that they're booked up with other stuff so
they're waiting til they've got time to sort it. They will only be charging
me for the service and not the extra time taken to sort it and that i should
    have it back by saturday.

Seems the battery, plugs, air filter and petrol is all getting through, it's
trying to start but won't. He doesn't know what the problem is.

I'll name and shame depending on the outcome.

  7. That's your problem. It's probably getting stuck in the exhaust valve :)

SV650S - now dead (written off) - does that mean I get honours now?
    NC30 - with a dead alternator
    DT125R - with a dead clutch
Cage - well at least it runs!
