Service

Well, that's the B12 been in for its first (600 mile) service; general
check over, new oil and filter, and brake calipers stripped, cleaned
and re-assembled with fresh copper grease as necessary - winter riding
doesn't do them many favours, does it? I've had some problems with
it, poor running at low revs and spitting back into the airbox. Seems
the mixture screws were at 2 1/4 turns, when they should have been at
3 - this is a foreign language to me, so if you know what that means,
I'm really very happy for you. However, it now transpires that as a
result, the carbs may be out of sync, and need fettling - this will of
course be done under warranty, so isn't that big a deal. It seems to
me, though, that this should have been part of the PDI, and if that's
not as it should be, what else might be wrong?

Some corrosion crept in there, too, Dodger?

Actually was just the spannerer being nice. Brakes were working fine,
it's just a courtesy thing they do on anything they service over
winter.

 

I dunno what happened there, wingsig.txt appears to have developed a
rash of carriage returns.
