Service cost

    Just been quoted £350 for the 15000 mile service on the ZX12R ... jeepers is
    this "normal" amount?

    Just a bit of a shock after the £90 on the K1200GT

    15k is the Big One, isn't it? Valves and all. Sounds OK to me.

    Depends what needs doing. If it's anything like the 9R, that's the full
    "check valve clearances, replace fork oil, grease everything that moves"
    service, so that sounds about right.
    That wasn't a "big" service though, was it?

    the K service intervals would be every 6k. The 12k service would be "big".
    The 18k service would be little more than an oil change and get the 16 year
    old to wash the bike.
