Yes, they are succulent little guys, aren't they? I was surprised to
find out, after a flock flew across the front bumper of my Datsun pickup
one day, that they are white meat! I "harvested" three of them, who
hadn't learned to look both ways before crossing the street. A little
    garlic and poultry seasoning...mmmmmmmmmmmboy!

  4. Definitely a point worth keeping in mind. Also important as you round
a tight curve and an on-coming semi suddenly comes into view.
Shouldn't be dangerous at all, but it definitely is for some riders.

In fact, target fixation is the biggest worry I have when it comes to
semi-experienced riders. Before heading out on a ride through twisty
roads, I've often reminded my wife to keep her focus on where she
wants the bike to go, should something like that happen.

Same advice applies, warning her what to do if she finds herself
entering a curve a little too fast. That's when you have to
concentrate even harder on the vanishing point. It helps you take the
best line and it also helps you overcome any fear of how far the bike
can be made to lean (since the bike can do better than new rider's
    fears imagine).

on the gl the rear brake pedal actuates the right front disc and the rear
disc in proportion just like a car, the front brake lever actuates the left
    front disc.
i didn't like it at first but have grown used to it.
very hard, well lets say i haven't been able to lock the rear wheel using
    the foot pedal.
i ran through brake checks and panic practice first thing when i bought the
    boat.
did a few hundred miles before putting my love on the back and am impressed
    with the brake system.
i don't think an abs system would be much better except for front wheel
    lock.

now an example i had is my buddy bought a used 05 HD ultra and the rear
brake was completely worn out with 7000 miles on it. the front looked
    cherry.go figure.
i have seen alot of cruiser bruisers never touch that nasty lever up by the
    throttle, go figure.
that and the fashionable "skidlid" mentality is adding up to mortally
    injured riders.
i think a good crash is very educational for alot of folks. as in laying it
over on the road and HAVING LEATHERS ON!!!!
then thinking what your lasagna leg would look like without it.
i harp on deaf ears with some of my poseur buds and to the man they haven't
    wiped yet.
hope the old folks are ok.
    just my rant. Flap

Simple. "Everybody" (you know him dontcha? Hangs around with Jack Shit.) knows
that touching that lever will make your bike flip over its own front tire. And
that "knowledge" isn't limited to cruiser types either.

    Local paper says:

According to the CHP, Boyson's 1990 Yamaha V-Max crashed and tipped
onto its side before sliding into motorcycles driven by Bacich and
    Rueben Santa-Maria, a 41-year-old Petaluma man...

    Doesn't mention other bikes' brands.
