Senate District 1 Help

  1. Getting this info out.

Paul Sadler is running for office in SD1. Last Saturday we were able to get
about 2500 signs built in 5 hours. We still have another 2500 to get built
    for this candidate.
They are going to meet at 10am on December 27th at the

    USWA Local 746 Union Hall
    13624 State Hwy. 31 West
    Tyler, TX 75709
    903-595-3469

We need people and hammers to get the signs put in place. Think about
joining us there. Here is the location and Tommy's number if you need more
    info... 972-647-2828

  2. Just wanted to give you an update to the Dec 20th event.

We had about 10 people show up along with my two boys. I actually didn't
get there until 11am, so everyone had an hour head start on me.
Santa was there too, we talked about riding bikes. He is a TMRA
(roadriders) member and a beemer rider. Nice to know Santa rides and helps
out at political events. Always suspected Santa was a democrat. ; )
My boys did a wonderful job of helping out. I was completely surprised at
the amount of help they did. They jumped from folding signs, putting parts
on table, to actually putting the signs together. For two guys of 6 and 4
years, I think I got a lot of work out of them that they did on their own.
We discussed the child labor laws, but decided they weren't getting paid
anyway so we weren't breaking any laws.
Had a good time working and talking. We ran out of nails around 3:30 so we
had to pack it up with 2500 signs completed.
I'll be out of the state this time so I won't be able to make the 27th one.
Hope some of you can take up the slack.

  3. ===================

I'm trying to get info about the candidates, but can't find much.

Paul Sadler is being backed by two Republicans (Rick Perry & GW Bush),
both of whom have proven NOT to be good for the Texas people. They
vote against us & for the rich & powerful few, almost every time.

Which candidates are FOR the people?

Are there any Republican candidates who don't back Bush & Perry, & who
    might care about us?

Sadler is a democrat and running for the seat just vacated by Bill Ratliff..
It is very doubtful that Perry or Bush is supporting this candidate.. And
you are exactly right, they are neither one GOOD for Texas or the US.. LOL .
Sadler is the man you want to support..

    They
Another you might want to support would be Morrison, in Sugarland.. He is
opposing Tom DeLay in the race for that seat.. Also a democrat, you can be
assured that neither Bush nor Perry will support him.. Lico Reyes is
opposing Burgess for US congress.. Good man and deserves the support of
many.. He is also a democrat and Burgess is republican..
Sorry.. you seem to be looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack..
The Texas republicans who seem to truly represent their constituents are
disappearing rapidly.. Your candidates will mostly be democrats if they fit
the description you offered.. LOL.. Martin Frost is opposing Pete Sessions
and Gary Page is opposing Kenny Marchant.. Frost and Page are both
conscientious democrats who want to represent their constituents.. Quite a
few good men out here who should be elected and need your support...

Danged "rookies".. on here.. Sorry.. guess my "upbringing" should have been
better.. Now .. the hamburger question can be settled in short order..
Keller's Drive In makes the greasiest hamburgers to be found anywhere..
However, I can recommend, at least one Whataburger restaurant in the Austin
area.. They can't serve a cup of water with a slice of lemon, but their ol'
burgers aren't bad.. (if we can keep Soto from running his ol' sportbike
thru the door).. The Ford dealership is another matter entirely.. They seem
to be very efficient in providing financing for the damn things, but who can
you turn to when the motor fails or some other mishap occurs.. Hell.. take
my recent experience for example.. Hell.. I had to go all the way to Mexico
to find someone to rebuild a transmission for my black GMC.. If I hadn't
been wearing those dark safety glasses, it probably wouldn't have happened,
even then.. As Grand Wizardly Wazoo Moderator, I am formally calling for a
boycott to teach all of them a lesson..Thank you for your support..

One thing that was confusing (& worrying) was that in Sadler's TV ads,
he had the endorsement & support of both Bush & Perry (aka the bad
    guys), ... which was a definite turn-off.

    ???

I want to vote for someone who is anti-BigMoneyInterests &
pro-ThePeople, but I can't find info about this on the internet. There
was nothing at the League of Women Voters site.

  7. RON PAUL

    Great Texan, Great American
he was a Libertarian candidate for President and has been re-elected
from his district as a Republican Congressman from multiple times with
    broadbased support.

Possibly the best man in Congress today.

I am not familiar with that ad.. I am very active with several different
groups including veterans.. Sadler is a good man, as was Ratliff..(even as a
Republican).. Ratliff was dedicated to representing his constituents, which
he did for several terms.. Sadler is cut from the same mold..I have every
confidence that he will represent his constituents with the same
dedication.. There being several republican candidates running for that
office, I seriously doubt that Perry or Bush would endorse a democratic
    candidate..
The candidate you describe is Paul Sadler.. I would recommend him highly and
    the election is tomorrow..

I agree.. Ron Paul is a good legislator who represents his constituents and
goes against the grain many times.. He is of the same bolt of cloth as I
classify Bill Ratliff.. Being a republican, I wouldn't vote for him, but I
respect the man.. I would be hard pressed to not vote for him unless he ran
against a very capable candidate.. The motive is to break the stranglehold
that Tom DeLay has tried to apply to our state.. Morrison is running against
DeLay in Sugarland and has a very good chance to unseat him.. He needs all
the support and help that he can get..

    More Info

I read some more information about the candidates.

Eltife appears to be of, by, & for the Corporations.

Sadler is more for the people, for us.

Since there's probably a lot of voting fraud in Texas, to put the
corporate candidates in office & keep them there, ... I'm concerned
that our votes might not count. However, I'll still vote.

I get the feeling of a bait and switch trolling effort here.. A group of
TMRA II bikers rode to Mt.Pleasant to work for the campaign of Sadler.. The
support for this man is growing, but he still needs all the help that can be
mustered.. So the "special interests" and corporate controlled do not
destroy the man, his campaign should be bolstered with enthusiastic
response.. There are also various other good candidates running for office
in the state and they need our help as well.. Thank you for your support..

hahaha... Not a problem, my friend.. We lost a good man and a fine
statesman, recently, when Bill Ratliff decided to retire.. He will be sorely
missed on the floor of our legislature.. Bill Ratliff was a true
representative for his constituents.. As it happens, one of his kind is
running on the democratic ticket and should be elected to represent the good
people in that district..Thanks for your post and your respect..

  13. ==========

    Hi Bill,

    I don't understand the comment about bait & switch, & I'm certainly
    not trolling.

I'm trying to learn more about Texas politics, & about which
candidates are the best to vote for, ... in between my desperately
seeking medical care & health information for cancer, injuries, &
strokes from injuries, ... & trying to survive the crimes, meanness, &
hardships here in Texas, now that the system (govt, legal, medical)
has mostly failed. I'm hoping that we (Texans) can work together, to
make positive changes & to improve things.

There's a doctor who always supports the worst candidates, & who puts
up political information in his office concerning them, which I always
stop to read. That doctor is supporting Eltife.

Concerning voting fraud, I recently saw a program about LBJ, where
they said he'd brag about getting into office thru voting fraud, that
he'd call it "Box 13" & laugh about it, & that voting fraud was common
in Texas. This can help to partly explain why so many bad laws get
passed here, despite many people's objections & protests.

Another serious problem is low voter turn-out, partly because many
people say that they believe the corruption here is overwhelming, &
    that their votes don't count.

An improvement would be, for elections/etc Not to be declared valid,
unless at least two-thirds of the registered voters have voted.

It seems that bad laws are almost always being sneaked thru, ... that
the public isn't being informed about the voting early enough, or
being given enough time to learn about or discuss the details of bills
    & candidates.

Plus, there are massive disinformation campaigns to cloud the issues,
right before we vote. It's almost impossible to sort thru all this,
or to get some valid information, before an election.

Also, we need to put a stop to combination bills. Each part of each
issue, should be voted on separately. Bills can be hundreds of pages
long, & cover many dozens of issues, ... so that many bad things can
    be sneaked thru this way.

All of the combination bills which have already been passed, need to
be broken down, ... & each part of each issue, needs to be voted on
separately. This could get rid of a lot of harmful laws & such,
    quickly.

There's also the problem of split votes (splitting the vote), of
having many candidates run for the same office, ... & our only getting
one vote. We should get to vote first, second, third choice, etc., &
not have to worry about splitting the votes.

I spent some time in Mt.Pleasant recently and can relate to what you are
saying.. So .. I am accepting your word on your sincerity..
Those are the goals of many of us, in Texas..
I have already provided a name of the candidate that I believe will best
represent the interests of the people who elect him.. That man is Paul
Sadler.. He needs your help and support..
LBJ doesn't have anything to do with the situation in Texas at this time..
He is dead and not running for election.. The incumbents in office are the
ones who have made our system the chaos that it is today..
That is indeed a serious problem...
Many of us who are working hard to affect improvement and corrections to our
system, have various ideas of the solutions to the problems.. My own
solution is to regain control of our democracy first and to get rid of the
corruption in our government and representatives, then follow through with
constant vigilance and awareness of their performance.. Thanks for your post

According to the committee that I assigned to investigat such matters, Dubya
was observed in the company of on of our very own .. Charles Soto..
consorting in the local Whataburger.. Both men were deeply engrossed in the
act of ingesting Jalapeno Burgers and imbibing in spirits of iced tea. (sans
lemon)..Upon leaving the establishment, both men were observed departing in
separate vehicles.. Bush was seen driving away in a late model Ford Ranger
and Soto of course, mounted some kind of foreign made motorcycle, whose
origins are doubtful..The investigation into this serious matter is being
conducted by the appropriate committee, which I assigned, as soon as I was
advised .. Furthur reports should be forthcoming.. Thank you for your
    support..

LMAO.. careful there Charles.. the choices you are making, expose you to the
very serious charges of "contempt" of the code.. Being under investigation
by the "committee", you should very carefully consider any furthur
    breaches..

See what I'm talkin'.. Corruption must be rooted out and destroyed, no
