Selling bike trailer?

I've thought about the 3/1 bike idea. What I really want is something that
will take one trials bike in normal use (and be balanced) but also 2 and
also a sidecar outfit if required. So it needs to be 2.x metres long and
therefor a folding section for storage would be useful.

It would be best served by a folding flatbed trailer with moveable wheel
    clamps.

I've been here before, contemplating trailers, deciding what's ideal but not
finding it. Now I need one, don't have the tuits to make one and may need to
commission one. Idealism always turns out feckin expensive.

My Dave Cooper otoh is rusty as **** with badly cracked tyres & minus a
mudguard as of last week. It doesn't owe me a penny though & the
indispension units are still fine so it'll last a few more years.

TBF, I had to treat mine to a pair of plastic mudguards about 10 years
ago, and SirPip was right about the thrumble it developed being out of
balance tyres. Not so much just out of balance, but no longer round and
with a very odd cross section. I just lobbed a couple of new Towcraft
wheels and tyres on it as it needed fixing quickly for a long trip.

I'm sure a UKRM Scrap Heap Challenge team could knock up a 'proper job'
for Hog in no time at all.

For what it will cost, upwards of £500, I could buy a nice new MIG welder
and parts. However it wouldn't be hot galvanised

  8. What he said.

Mine's shackled to a gurt great bracket security-bolted to the wall.

For a couple of years it was shackled to a dead Honda CB500T, 1977
vintage. Some pikeys tried nicking it in the middle of the night, not
noticing it was attached, and brought down the 500T with a helluva crash
    that woke us up.

They legged it. I hope it landed on their feet.

  9. Like the trailer that props up the Chateau? Two decent bikes, or three
tiddlers, made by Trelgo. Costs about £550 new nowadays.

I've actually had three bikes on it , when we shifted half the contents
of Timo's garage on it. Just do-able, but only *just*.

Yeah the double looks interesting. I really want to be able to load an
    Outfit though.

You'll want something the size of a small car trailer, then.
Seriously: to get the Ural outfit on my trailer I had to fit extra
channels up the outsides of the existing outer channels and it only
just fitted between the mudguards with the assistance of blocks of wood
in the channels to lift the exhaust over the arch.

  13. There was a fucking great kink in it. Still is, although I've hammered
most of it out. Don't sweat it, anyway.
