I think that any figures available would show that the British justice
system compares very favourably with the rest of the World.

 

I'm in complete agreement, surprisingly. Discussions of British Justice,
Society, Empire etc are invariably disparaging but this is RL and not an
academic discussion FFS and in perspective it doesn't get a lot better,
anywhere AFAIK.

Have I had the rough end of it, well yes, but OTOH I've screwed it or
avoided it much more so WTF.

The UK legal framework could do with a major shakedown and cleanup but it is
the political/democratic system which is a bit broken, not The Law.

That would make for an interesting case... make the prosecution prove
that the jury are all careful and competent drivers first.
