dunno, Platy mentioned the name somewhere around this thread.

I'd gone to bed early cos I had flu on this trip [1] but TBH it
doesn't really narrow it down where Andy is concerned.

[1] which i'm sure was exacerbated by sharing a room with Statto only
to find the next day that Andy had a cabin key tucked into his
    passport.

Yes, the same place. Villedieu les poêles, lit. Town [of] God the
    Saucepans.
Oh I think it does. As I recall he wasn't planning to do it naked.
What a pair, eh? Him for being such a TC and you for leaving such
    arrangements up to him.

I think we were trying to convince him to do it naked...

I seem to remember the reason he came back to the hotel was to collect
his bike and do naked wheelies. the walk sobered him up enough to
either come to the conclusion that a) it probably wasn't a good idea
and b) I was lying naked in our bed.

    tough call I think.

    Not climb the scaffold tower.

Upset the locals by stunting the bike to a small degree whilst naked
was discussed but I decided against it on the walk back to the hotel
    to get my keys.

That was the clique run when Daz and I decided to see who had the
fastest bike. The question was largely left unanswered due to
inconsiderate French drivers who kept pulling out on us when we were
    near enough flat out.
You should have taken photos in the lay bye.

    Cunts.

Anyway, I clearly remember you saying that no matter what you did, you
couldn't get it to show over 160. Namby pamby bike you've got, and no
    mistake.
    I came --->||<--- thiiiiiis close.

****. I said I couldn't get it over 180. You were doing somewhere
around 160 and we were vanishing.
Cowardice is not a valid excuse.

It was OK on the straight bits, IIRC. Doing proper roads on the
Saturday was a different matter altogether...
I think tears would have been shed, and quite possibly blood. Shame he
    didn't have the guts really..
