Does anyone have the sailing times for the french run as I am sailing
Calais - Boulogne and it would be nice to ride across france with the group.
I should be able to catch up if the ferry is slightly later.[1]

[1] And yes wavy I will bring your dvd )

    12.15 out, 15.25 back.

If the CliqueRun to Verdun (or even last spring's French Run) was
anything to go by, you'll have trouble catching *anyone* before Reims
unless you intend to bounce it off the limiter in top all the way.

I think the best-ever example of that was the run to Caudebec when we
took the overnight ferry from Portsmouth, which dumped us in... Caen,
was it?... at about 7am on a *really* foggy morning.

Visibility was 10% of eff-all, and this large gaggle of bikes swept
into the first motorway intersection, and then just disintegrated as
*everyone* took a different exit. From where I was, it looked like one
of those Red Arrows displays, where all the aircraft sort of explode
towards every point of the compass.

It was a complicated junction, and I remember looking up, down, left
right, in front and behind, and all I could see was bikes, in a sort of
    large-scale Brownian motion. Excellent.

Indeed. I was having a merry bimble with TOG and YTC, when we saw the
stricken B12 and stopped to point and laugh. I toddled off to find some
fuel, and by the time I got back everyone had effed off.

    Charming ...

  8. That was a bit fucking fast wasn't it. Certainly the fastest I have even
drained the B12 tank - what was it? Full to reserve in 80 miles?

and then there was the chain incident...

Ah, you mean the Ardennes run on the Saturday? About 90, I think, but
close enough. **** knows, I was shedded for the first half and
    distinctly unwell til mid afternoon.

I was more thinking of the blast down the A26 - laying on the tank, 160
on the clock, watching the front-runners slip towards the horizon,
shooting past Wik (doing about 120, arms folded, smoking a fag).

    Happy days.

  14. err no. Right trip, but I meant the section from the ferry to that first
peage where FrogPlod were waiting for us to score down our registrations.

  16. Aye, moments after I learned that my daring squeeze between two closing
lorries wasn't quite as daring as that of Ogden behind me, IIRC.

Everyone was so fast on the Sedan run, they even caught up with Linda
and me on the Wing, about 20 miles from the hotel.

  20. Indeed. now on a simple overtake, that's fun enough.

Now imagine one lorry, lining up to overtake another, and getting
rapidly closer to that point of having both lanes clogged.

I gave it full beans and a deep breath to get through the middle, and
did so in a kind of diagonal manouevre. I reckon Oggers must have
fucking Zig-Zagged through before the gap was closed.

Statto on the other hand said "**** that" and launched up the hard shoulder.
