Seat modifications

    I have a 1980 Yamaha XS 400 Special. Its my old beauty. However, the
    seat is too stiff! I was hoping to get a few opinions on how I can skim
    down the seat to a slop per say, and recover. This way it is more
    contoured and comfy.

    I have been getting some good ideas, including shaving off some of the
    foam, and sloping it that way, and I know that there are little options
    out there but I thought I would give it a shot too.
