    Clear Hermetite gasket goo does it for me - I use it to seal in the, er,
    rubber sealing ring that surrounds the filler cap assembly on the
    Ducati.

    (The fuel filter is inside the tank, FFS, and you have to remove the
    filler cap assembly in order to be able to reach in and get it out).
