[SE Qld] Cheap Helmets?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by DoinitSideways, Feb 17, 2004.

  1. Whilst I believe that all prices are going to be roughly similar form store
to store, im wondering if any shops between GC and Brissy would sell helmets
    cheaper then others?
Im probably after a new AGV... will see when i try a few on.

    Thanks

There's a joint out towards Ipswich called Two Wheel Motorcycles (I think)
at Yamanto and they were very cheap when I was shopping.
    (cheap tyres too)

There's a mob on the Warrego Highway called Two Wheel Tyres and Accessories
at Blacksoil (down behind the BP). North side of Ipswich, though, not
southwest. That who you mean, Clem?

    Dunno what they're like.

I had a quick look in at Pro Honda (Rocklea) when I was after a jacket. Most
of their prices seemed reasonable at the time.

Yep that'd be them. They're before you get to Ipswich so Blacksoil sounds
    more like it.
    Thanks ....Clem

Err, actually, it's past Ipswich. Just. You don't have to go through
Ipswich, though. Yamanto is, too, but on a different highway.

GeddoutyerRefidex (or other street directory of choice)! :p :)

To be perfectly literal (and ever so slightly anal), the suburb lines are
just on the other side of it. 'Tis in Blacksoil, whatever the White Pages
    says. :p :)

It's also pretty much at the end of my street. *G*

Valium? Oh, sorry, didn't realize they were yours!

No way; you need at least an R1 to do that.

The Blackbird is more than sufficient. Honda claim it has 112kw compared to
    Yamaha's claim of 111.8kw for the R1 :)

  18. Fark, that was quick, not even enough time to brew a batch of exxxxtra
strength to help you through the impending doom!

May I offer my sincerest condolences in these dark and trying times, tho'
a time machine would be more appropriate. May the gods of misfortune
bugger off now. May Michelle resist the urge to lecture while chauffeuring,
gNatalie not whinge about busses, trains and automobiles and may your
sanity prevail. Above all, no matter how hard life may seem, whatever ya
do, don't go all fuckin' biblical on us! We're with ya, big fella.

Whoops; not quite yet Coney. (Pisshead's just putting 2 & 2 together!)
No I'm on the wagon to try and get rid of this persistent gouty-arthritis
    that's been practically crippling me.
The idea is to be presbyterian for long enough to be able to take the pills
without them bringing on an attack.....
Then I can start drinking again!
(Which should be about the time they take my licence off me for
wheelstanding through a speed-camera while showing off to gNatalie's 17y.o.
    classmates..... but that's another story.)
