Screws

Discussion in 'Motorbike Technical Discussion' started by Andras Nolsøe, Dec 11, 2005.

  1. Does anyone know where special screws can be ordered online.
Im thinking about the drain screw for my Mikuni carb.?
    the threat isn't standard.
The screw can't be ordered seperatly here in denmark and a new carb costs
    about $200.00 here.

  2. Buy a used dead carburettor and take the screw from it.

I did a web search for carburetors (try searching by "Mikuni+carburetor")
and got lots of hits for companies that provide parts as well as other
services. (I used Copernic, which searches multiple search engines
simultaneously, but I guess Google would work if you tried hard...)

  5. I'd guess that most likely it's a metric size with an unusual
thread pitch. I like the idea of finding a junk carb, but if
that's not possible, try to identify the thread. It may be
available from a fasteners specialist. Also if you haven't
tried to contact Mikuni directly, you might want to try
    that as well.

I get most of my carb parts from Sudco.
Sometimes I use Carb Parts Warehouse.
