Has anyone got a method for removing minor to moderate scratches from a
stainless steel muffler. A previous owner dropped the bike, and I would
like to repair the damage if possible. Area about 5 x 5 cm at the start
    of one of the mufflers.
    Thanks Phil

Have it professionally buffed , anything you can do without the correct
tools will end up as worse.

If you have a drill go to Bunnings tool dept and get a Jonsa polishing wheel
set[$30].Has a medium & fine wheel, use medium for heavy scratches be careful
with this wheel as it may create more scratches, use fine to polish scratches
out,i use the fine wheel all the time to get rid of marks on my Staintunes
made by my misuses boots.Finish with Autosol.Just remember it does take a
    while,Hugh

Does your missus hate your bike so much she has to kick it?
