    Hello.

I want to buy a scooter, for the first time. I have a NSW riders
license and used to have a motorcycle about 12 years ago.

Is there a "Scooter Buyer Guide"? If yes, what is the internet
    address?

Any other suggestions for buying a scooter?

How much would I be looking at paying for a new, 125cc scooter in
    Sydney & Newcastle?

What scooter brand and model has the biggest CC's? Is it available in
    Sydney & Newcastle?

    Cheers,

    Noodle.

I saw a scooter mag at the newsagent today (when I was getting the
lastest Roadrider mag). I had a quick flick through. Seemed ok.
Probably a good place to start.

I understand you are just trying to be helpful, but I need at least a
NAME of this mag, or a LOCATION of the newsagent where you saw this
    mag.

By itself, that info above doesn't help me unfortunately :)

    Cheers,

actually, that wasnt a bad tip, go to your local newsagent and look for a
scooter mag. There is only one that I have noticed lately, put out by
TwoWheels. called twowheels scooter. the first one was recently being given
away with the latest twowheels, but they are up to issue seven now..

I dont remember the name, but it was in with the other motorcycle mags,
had scooter in big letters on the front cover, I think it was an
Australian mag, and there was a good size pile of them.
Makes me think they should be available all over.

Not on the net. Two Wheels puts out a scooter mag but it's not a lot
    of use.
Yeah, go to the scooter shops. In Sydney try My Scooter in Drummoyne,
Sooteria in, I think, Camperdown, and Close Motorcycles in Surrey
    Hills.
From $4000 to $7000. Meaning if you go Taiwanese Bug/Bolwell or
    Italian Vespa/Gilera/Aprilia

Suzuki Bergman, 650, and yes. although it's a barge of a thing and if
you want a commuter won't get you anything but higher running costs.

Not bad in stop-start traffic, considering the weight. Lousy turning
circle. But it can cruise pretty effortlessly at 140 km/h. The 250
Bergman is obviously less powerful but can still cruise at 100 two-up
on the freeway. Hills will slow it down.

It's called SCOOTER and is published quarterly by Two Wheels.

Edition 7 (with a blue Manurhin on the cover) should be in your local
    newsagent now.

Hang on.... here's a pic of the cover....

Send me $25 and I'll post you the "Newsagencies" bit out of the
Yellow Pages. You'll need to find the letter-box yourself, though.

Not that I'm aware of, however two wheels did a scooter edition you can
    order from their archives
There's a lot of scooter shops around, there's one on Victoria Rd
Drummoyne that's good, the one on Pittwater Rd Brookvale isn't bad either
suzuki burgmann 650cc last time I looked although I vaguely recall
someone mooting an 800 twin (yamaha ?) dunno if it's out yet though
