    Schumi's bike test 'just for fun'

    Seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher tested a Ducati
    MotoGP bike on Monday at the Mugello circuit.

    The tests were "purely for fun," Ferrari spokesman Luca Colajanni
    said. "It's just something he personally wanted to do."

    The Italian news agency Apcom reported that Schumacher was clocked
    around 2min 14sec per lap. World champion Valentino Rossi won the pole
    position at this year's MotoGP at Mugello with a time of 1:49.223.

    Rossi has tested a F1 car twice in the past two years with Ferrari,
    which has said it would welcome him to join it on a permanent basis in
    2007.

    Rossi is due to perform more tests with Ferrari this winter.
