Good lord! An aspiring politician has told us bullshit. What in the world
    will happen next?

More than likely, spent half the day fault finding the ABS on the K1100RS
    (ABS 1) finally sorted it.

Not the only one. Anyone remember seeing the Grant Evans bridge over the Hume
just south of Sydney? Grant Evans was a truckie who died when two vicious
teenage creeps chucked a huge lump of concrete off the bridge... into the
    cabin of his truck.

Passing under a bridge always sets my teeth on edge; it wouldn't take much of
a rock to damage a motorcyclist in these circumstances. That's why so many of
the pedestrian bridges over the Hume (and other places) have those weird
    inward-leaning fences. Sorry, can't find a link.

We have outward-leaning ones that seem to have the same purpose.

Actually, Gary, I'm pretty sure there were three creeps, and one of them
was 23 or 24 at the time.

Jesus Andrew, we all just spent a whole lot of effort convincing him you
were right! Sometimes I wonder why I bother. (sometimes I wander)

  18. Doesn't even have to be a rock. In 1984, I was passing under a bridge
around 2am in the morning and had a 300ml carton of cream dropped on my
windscreen. At 80mph, the carton had enough mass to come through the screen
and spread right over it causing total lack of visibility. Jumping on the
brakes was the only choice, Luckily I stopped just short of running the car
up an embankment. I reported it to the police, the previous week someone was
put in hospital at the same place with a bottle of milk. And yes with the
windscreen kicked out it did decide to rain on the way home as well.

Getting the smell of sour cream out of the west of england cloth headlining
    took a while.
