Are you saying you're *not* using this...

    <http://pdos.csail.mit.edu/scigen/>

    ... to write your papers?

    Bloody wierdo! :)

Me, I'm just about to start it up all over again. I think it's gonna
be an MBus this time. *sigh*

'tis, innit! On a quick scan, the output looks broadly believable.
It's only when you sit down and try to read it that you realise
that it's one great big bag of carefully contrived shit!

The bit where they got a paper generated by that thing accepted
for the refereed stream at an academic conference is priceless!

Yeah well I've sent in the application for a Master of Law, we'll see
whether U Syd or UNSW will have me.

Bloody 'ell, you're a beggar for punishment!

Dunno what the others offer, but I know we offer a postgrad law
degree that teaches you all the stuff you need to do to be
a practitioner (after the practical legal training bit, of
course). Very tempting that is, I like law.

They banned footy at lunch time when I was in highschool - too scared of
someone getting hurt, and they wouldn't even let us play it for PE

Yebbut the bloody campus is out in the boondocks ! I swore I'd never
willingly go back to North Ryde for any reason that didn't involve
    bribery with beer and steaks.

I don't actually want to practise, just want to have the right quals to
be responsible for commercial management of things like large
    outsourcing deals.

    JL
(thanks for the heads up though, I'll look into it)

No its not, it's smack bang in the middle of the city (well,
Chinatown!), a five minute ride from your house!

Sorry, was thinking you were at Macquarie not UTS - UTS is nicely
located. Didn't realise they had a law school.

    JL
(it's only a 5minute ride in peak hour, 3 minutes off peak unless I get
stuck at the lights in Ultimo - it's 20mins walking distance even for a
    lazy bugger like me :)

<chuckle> Which bit upset you Cam, the desire to run large outsourcing
deals or the desire to study law ?

    JL
    (the latter I assume :)

    Nooooooooooooooo!

How'd it go? The bits involving power generation, not the
bits involving girlies which we don't need to hear about!

    Actually both.

Still, I suppose you'd qualify for a ticket on Ark B.

Aww gee shucks, I can aspire to being a telephone cleaner can I ?

PS I'll be up for a midweek ride in early November - have a week off to
finish the last project so it seems mandatory to waste at least some of
it on a trip to Broke or something

How times change. They *made* us play footy (not that gay NSW footy) so that
    we *would* get hurt.

Wot ? Like the pansy hit they were going to ban Bazza from playing in
    the grand final for ?

  18. Heh, heh - I remember that, going to skool in QLD. I just flat out
*refused* to. There was not much they could do. IIRC went on a 5 k
or so walk instead - far more relaxing.

NFI I'm afraid, I was thinking of grabbing the ball and running away. What
    sort of FOOTball is that?

Bazza as in Barry Hall*(?), Sydney Swans, the poofy AFL mobs in tight
shorts, who were going to ban him from playing in the grand final for a
soft cock hit that wouldn't have raised comment in either of the rugby
codes. The code which I assumed you were referring to (as opposed to the
"gay nsw footy" comment), so if you weren't talking about AFL what were
you referring to - Gaelic Football ?

    JL
*assuming I'm remembering his name correctly - the 05 grand final was
the first AFL match I've watched in 10 years, and probably the last
    before the 06 grand final
