I bought a couple of new cars for my old set recently (absolutely
massive, it is, and Jamie now presides over it). I tell you, this
Magnatraction stuff is for wimps. It makes it bloody difficult to hang
the back out on curves.

We really, really ought to havbe a ukrm Scalextric evening in the upper
room of a boozer or something....

I had the traction engine, I've still got it somewhere.

I've also got a Triang stationary engine on a Meccano frame with a
Meccano gearbox and wheels. High speed, burning, ankle smasher.

Fucking great until it crashed under the cupboard and the meths started
leaking. <happy sigh>.
