    Anyone planning on riding tomorrow?

I need to get by a dealer and get an inspection (probably Grapevine
Kawasaki) tomorrow, but after that I'm looking at riding. Anyone else?

RedShad and I need to go through de-briefing after the ride today. You know
we ride 2 fine road bikes and at one point today we covered 56 miles,
between 2 small Panhandle towns, in 28 minutes. 'Course we were 2up in 25mph
headwind with all storage containers fully topped off so we were taking kind
    of easy.
So what time you think you will be over to the Kawa shop? You can tell us
about that little ride you just made to kinda calm us.

Yeah, you two on those geezer road sofas are going to get the bikes
all corroded up with sitting around going that leisurely. What, were
y'all waving at the dogs on the sides of the road thinking y'all were
    in a parade or something?
I'll probably be sitting in their door step when they're trying to
    unlock the doors.

Did you want me to call you, or are you going to call me? Either
    way....

I went by there today with my wife. We were out running around on the
bike and she's been wanting a Cortech jacket for, well for ever since
she first saw one at MotoLiberty. I needed to replace a headlight in
the bike, so I figured it would be nice to go to Grapevine and do
everything. We got over there and I bought up about half of the
store...including the light and jacket. They got the bike in the shop
and tore into it. A few minutes later, Dean came out and said "your
headlight isn't working". I told him I knew that, and hence why his
guys are working on it right now. He said "no, I mean when we plug in
the new bulb it doesn't come on". A few minutes later my wife said
"maybe you should go check on it". I walked back there in the shop and
two of them were standing at the front of the bike, one on each
side....and Micah was down looking at the back end of the bike. I went
in there and Micah asked how to get the seat off. I said "Micah, you
know about these bikes". I reached over and pulled the cable and
popped up the seat. Micah kept saying "check the connector....check
the connector". They went through the fuses and then checked the bulb.
Micah kept saying "check the connector". Then they checked the
connector. They pulled out the connector, put the bulb in and it
turned on. They put the bike back together and it didn't work. Hmm.
That's stupid! The bike got tore down again and it was found that when
the bulb was in the connector it would get a good connection. When the
bulb/connector was fitted into the housing, it would pull back just
enough to lose connection. They sqeezed the prongs and all was well.
Well, not exactly. Somewhere along the line the connections got
backwards. I got home and it started getting dark. When it did, the
headlight was shining up in the air. When I'd hit the highbeams it
would get bright at the base of the front of the bike. I tore it back
down and switched the connectors back where the low beam is on the top
and the highbeam is on the bottom. To the credit of Grapevine, that
wasn't their fault....that was like it when it went into their shop.

Oh, and it's my turn for buying lunch...while I tell you all the lies
    I can! :)

I'm going by the shop over on Alta Mere to pick up a part around 9am. I'll
head over to Grapevine afterwards. I should be there by 10am. How 'bout
    that?
