Our bunch rode south around here, and ended up in Jefferson.

We had a Gal Biker with us, and she can ride. Her Husband rode his and
she rode hers. She has said, ''it makes her nervous to ride behind
someone''--- so one day he told her,‘well hail’ get your own Bike,
    and, she did,.....hehe

There's always a lot of Motorylcles gathered at Jefferson Texas. Tha'
    liltte town is Biker Friendly.

There were 9 of us, had a good ride, in some nice east Texas, warm
    weather.....

Saw something there I'd never seen before.

First, It's fairly common to stand around there outside of Auntie
Skinnerds famous Bike eatery/bar. Look at the different MotorCycles, and
    bull shit, and so 4th.

We saw a ''nickel plated'' Shotgun, neatly strapped on the right side of
a bad looking Harley. The Shiny Nickel barrels blended in well with the
chromine. We could tell he took pride in the way he fabricated the
straps and braces, to hold the weapon.

The Rider wasnt around for us to make comments about such a sight to
see. He probably was in Aunties's place. The ShotGun, had a short
stock, but the barrels looked the normal length.

    That was amazing to us.

    Anyone ever seen somehting similar?
    Not counting; in the Movies.....hehe

    Is that LegaL??

Nine! Seems like that'd be a little crowded. I thought that Windstar was 8
    passenger max.

=====Well, Louie the Great is known to be a smart relic oneLinerHe's
TxMotos best, even better than Top-Poster Ed. LOL. You might should,
be careful, what you put on this highly intelligent little Texas Group
    of AH's. yeeha.......
So, what do ‘you’ think about the ''ShotGun'' holstered on the
    Harley, huh?
over???? LOL) I thought that was worthy of a comment or two.
However it could be, and often is, that I am the only one who hasn't
seen ShotGuns on Motorcycles. It could be very common, and I am
    fundamentally ignorant of it...hehehehhe MrJayT.

I'm not sure, but are you just posting the same ride report over and
    over?

It seems you've done Texarkana to Jefferson so many times that it'd be
about as exciting as me riding from my driveway, down the street and
    back again...

Tell me that at the least you're riding with different people?

===Well ya'll, I think every rider has their favorite ''Rides'' that
they enjoy in their particular locale. I often read on here, ya'll
mentioning ''Pie at Hico'', the "Burgers Bars''( cant' recall the
names), the different short rides around your Dallas metro area..
-Guys, there's more than one way to take off from my driveway, and ride
a good bit, and eventually end up in Jefferson, Texas. It can be a 130
mile ride, or it can be a 200 miler.
Woooo'me they make some good Burgers, and have some tasty pies at
Auntie Skinnerds, ask Big Ed, he knows.
We're lucky, that we have numerous friends to ride with, around here.
Been riding with some of them, for years....

====It's pretty much the same Gang, some times a coupla riders,
    sometimes 5 or 6 riders.
-Say Brian, it seems you ride mostly Solo. Whats with that? Not that
there's anything wrong with that. Honey and I ride often by ourselves.
But atleast I have her with me...Just an observation. No big deal.

He dont always go solo but he almost always ends up solo. That bike of
his always wants to be way out front even if it doesnt know where to
go. The group will turn off so he ends up solo. He isnt solo for long
because the law spots him soon and gives him plenty of
    company.....LOL.

Keep on "keeping on", Bjay.. You are right, there are many ways to get to
Jefferson from Texarkana, and vice versa.. No matter who you are riding with
each route you take can be different and not routine..

Back to the priorities, however.. we've got to make the first opportunity to
    have
that talk about your "position" of Ratings Monitor on this newsgroup..
    You'll
either have to learn to delegate to BiffB or some other qualified
    participant, or
you will have to tighten up on your schedule to fit the position..

Now that the air is cleared on that point, I remind you that I am so looking
    forward
to Big Ed and me riding over to join up with you and partake in eating some
    of
those most excellent hot links and beans.. The time is getting closer.. How
    'bout it ?

Bill, what is your thoughts on seeing a goodlooking nickel plated
double barrel shotgun, strapped to a Harley, and done with expertise,
so as to blend in with all the other custom additions. You been around
the block as much, or more than anyone on this fine group, have you
    ever seen anything like that......over.......Mr>JayT=

I gotta admit that I don't recall seeing such a deal.. But then, I have seen
some of my old riding partners that won't leave home without strapping
on some kind of pistol or something.. I used to be bad about carrying
a little boot gun whenever I mounted up.. Guess I kinda grew out of that
little habit, when I realized, there were few times when killing somebody
    was worth it..

hehehe.. hell.. as tough as I've always been, I could take on two or three
of the tough guys and the worst case would be for me to take an ass
whooping.. I quit carrying guns, a long time ago, and never missed it..

Ask old Dan Beasley.. I think he was probably the last man to hang an
bad asswhoopin' on me, single handedly.. Ain't that a hoot ?

    WTF?

I guess not being able to keep up has it's advantages, huh?

BTW, having a run-in with the law has it's advantages too. Not only do
I have one more excuse to go back and ride the cool roads, but I can
also teach a stupid ass cop a little something about the 5th
    Amendment...

===Like I said, nothing wrong with that, however, I feel lucky that we
have a local gang to ride with....and it is nice that most ride with
twoUps.....Although there are times, we like to ride by our selves, so
thereforereason, we can turn any direction we want to, when we want to.
stop when & where we want to, ride slow or fast when we want
    to...(etc)...there's advantages both ways......
    I hear ya'......MrJayT-=
