Hopefully, Castrillon will wheel himself in at every parole hearing
and influence the parole board enough to make sure the POS does the
    entire 10 years.

    Stopped shouting in subject line.

Makes you wonder- does the court system (or society for that matter)
frown on maiming a person more than killing a person? Then what kind of
    message does that send?

If you want to go down a slippery slope, if someone gets more time in
prison for maiming a person and has to pay a civil personal-injury
settlement, a person's life is then worth less than that. But then you'd
also be driving a Ford Pinto.

It's not a new message. It's an old adage: Dead people don't show up in
    court.
Worth remembering if you're ever forced to defend yourself against a
    criminal.
