Salisbury Plain Sunday

Is anyone definitely going? The weather's looking reasonable, double-figure temps & only a slight chance of rain.

 

I'm undecided. I've got a number of jobs to do on the Tenere this
weekend but Burnt has offered B&B so I might still come over.

Is that your Burbidges Bakery run? A few of our lot will be out on sunday
too, but only for a general mooch about in the mud. Probably stop in the
Bustard for a swift one at some point in the afternoon too.

I was, but still have no head protectors or crash bars fitted
don't wanna scratch the new bike :-(

Can't recall what bike you've got, but 'head protectors' implies GS.
It's pretty likely there'll be a 'big bike with road tyres' group
that'll stick to the gravel tracks, & they're very hard-packed on the
Plain. You'd have to be a total muppet to drop it on those.

Fiddling with the XT this weekend but pretty sure I'll turn up on
Sunday.

 

Good man. There's a Richard on an HP2 due to turn up who I told to look
out for XTs if he gets there before me. Bee might appear on the CRF
too, although she's got a big pissup tonight so I wouldn't bank on it.
