    Hi all,

Quick question for you all, especially the manitobans out there, I
passed my motorcycle test today, taking my course next week. Anyways,
my RD350 is just about ready to take down for its safety inspection
and I was wondering if they're gonna care about the sidewalls of the
rear tire being cracked. I'm planning on replacing them anyways, but I
thought that if I can let it slide for the last nice month of riding
season then I will replace it next season instead.

Also, if I do need to replace it right away, whats a good brand of
tire to get and where's the most economical (not cheapest, I like
quality too, ) place to get tires from?

    Cheers

With older bikes, the wheel size of your RD (cool bike BTW) may limit your
    selection choices.

Try Motorcycle Accessory Wharehouse, they list many brands and sizes that
may give you an idea of what to expect, in US $ anyway.

I'll bet that any new tire is going to be better than an old tire with
    cracks.

Where are you located, Monk? I want to buy that bike from you when you tire
    of it.

They won't pass a cracked tire, at least I hope they don't.

I have always wanted to own a real RD-350, but I'm afraid Manitoba is too
    far away. Thanks anyway.

ahh too bad, i have another RD350 here too, its a basket case and I
may or may not put the money/time into it this winter.

guy gave it to me as a parts bike when I bought the one thats running
    now.

I'll post pics of both the RD's on my website sometime this weekend.

    cheers,

Are you interested in swapping for some radio control equipment? I have cash
too, but I have more of the latter. The stuff is mostly brand new. No, I'm
not getting out of R/C. I just got carried away and bought too much of the
    stuff.

If the bike is disassembled, it shouldn't be as hard to ship. Expensive,
perhaps, but not difficult to box.

I want that purple one standing up on the center stand in that one photo.

You're right, that's too much work for me. I keep forgetting my age and
limitations, as witnessed by the tons of projects lying about the property
that never get worked on. Thanks anyway.
