On the topic of removing (unleaded only) stickers - can anyone sugest a
safe way to remove sticker/adheasive gunk from fairings? My new Suzuki
is plastered with warnings and they're not the type of sticker that come
    off cleanly.

At least I'm safe! (at least I would be if I'd taken 20 minutes to read
    them all).

    cheers

    hair dryer...heat up, peel off
    this leaves the glue on
using Eucalyptus oil or one of those citus based product, cover the
glue and leave for 5 minutes and then wipe of with a very open weave
cloth, the open weave collects all the glue so the cloth doesnt get
    clogged

anyway that worked for my Suzuki......bitchs of stickers to get orf

De-Solve-it is very good, citrus based stuff. you can get it for about $3.80
for 100ml at Bunnings and it'll last you for ages.

Standard disclaimer with ANY solvent, test in an inconspicuous spot first.

Depending how old the bike is, be prepared to be there all day. It took me a
few hours to do my bike and it's still only half done.
I used a hair dryer for the stickers, and a Eucalyptus oil for the glue.

    glue.

that's the reason for the open weave clothe.....works as a very soft
abrasive, harsh enuff for the glue but soft enuff for the duco
