They are extremely cute but best ridden by 40Kg teenagers (50 cc motor)
    - which is obviously the market in the UK.

Dunno. Is it the thingy that was built in the '60's that was half way
between a scooter and a motorcycle?

    If so, yes, otherwise, no.

Maybe there is a factory in India building them now?

The one I remember was a nice wee machine (50 cc) and very pleasant to
ride, although it wasn't what anyone could call fast.

I'm sorely tempted... I'm planning on taking one for a ride sometime
soon. Seen 'em out the front of a shop on Swan St.

I reckon the 125cc version would make a decent inner city run around.

I still can't take 50cc scooters seriously... 40k max is just too slow to be
    safe in traffic.

The two 50cc scoots I've ridden would do 70K. You basing that 40K on
    experience or hearsay G-S ?

    27*1.6 = 43km/hr

(+ or - , I think the correct conversion has a few more decimals after
the 6 but near enough to 40K)

Most cyclists travel even slower in traffic.

    More people cycle than drive.
I use the Milan only locally. It's biggest trip is down to the corner shop
for the Sunday papers. 10 kms each way is further than I want to walk.

Yebbut, just because 40K is the best a clapped out 70's 50cc scoot could
do, doesn't mean that's what 30 year newer kit is capable of. The MZ 250
would have trouble keeping up with a GPX250 for example (and that's not
    even particularly modern)

    How very subtle Mr Cam....

    JL
(yeah OK there's a few Kg's weight difference :) I was still wondering
whether that was experience or assumption though)
