Are there any grounds for an appeal? Objections improperly sustained
or overruled, for example? Questionable evidence? Evidence of jury
    tampering?

Inadequate representation. Any lawyer who can't get a beloved
Congresscritter, who reliably brings home the bacon, acquitted of
killing out-of-state motorcycle scum is obviously a putz. ;-)

  5. Not much to appeal. Had the prosecution been allowed to detail his extensive
history of traffic violations, maybe. But it looked like the defense got most
of the breaks where the judge had a decision on what to permit.

And the judge does the sentencing. Any bets on if Janklow goes to prison?
