It appears that Rydale the BMW bike dealer in Cardiff will soon be an ex BMW
dealer as the septic tanks who bought the franchise don't want bikes, so its
    gone.

Looks like a nice blast to Stroud or Brisle for a service from now on. ****
So if any of you guys want a final service, then get in now as you might not
have a week left to sort it out. Also word on the street is that Southport
BMW have a clothing sale on now.

    Cheers

That'd be Triumph then. You're lucky having Flitwick Motorcycles on
your doorstep because if you had to rely on On Yer Triumph you
wouldn't be calling them a network that cares.

Ah, a BMW thread - just what I was looking for. Did a 320 mile blast on
Sunday with three other Tigers & a KTM. One of the Tigers got a
puncture in deepest darkest Wales, & had to be taken home by Auntie
Carole's breakdown service. Apparently the driver spent the trip home
recounting tales of the number of new(ish) BMWs he's had to collect
with electrical problems. Another one for your black book.

Having Flitwick M/cs on my doorstep was a major factor to take into
consideration when I decided to buy a Triumph. If they didn't have the
good reputation that they do, I don't think I'd have been quite so keen
to own one. Having said that, it's been perfect so far and hopefully I
won't need to use the dealer for anything except servicing work.

There are some real horror stories about the Triumph dealer network on
T595.net and I know which ones to avoid now.

You see that ZX-10R you own, the model that had collapsing front wheels
when Kawasaki left the customer to do the develpment work - the one that
fell off it's poxy sidestand and wrecked plastics - pop down to the
Kawasaki dealer in Letchworth and...oh...you can't any more cos they
went bust owing private punters a lot of money.

    In

..... and you're criticising BMW dealers ;) There's good and bad with all
dealer networks, as for the importers ....

I don't know if they've changed over the years but the last time I had
anything to do with Suzuki GB they were utter bastards totally disinterested
in warranty claims and customer service.

Honda were better, but not as good as their media reputation implies.

Kawasaki I found OK but their workshop times were damn tight at times.

Not had any involvment with Yamaha warranty side.

Bedford's short of decent dealers for any make of bike but that's not
a new thing. I object to having to use Anchor if I want to go to a
Kawasaki dealer but if I want genuine parts I'll bite the bullet and
    go there.

Yeah, right. She's ordered bits for her 9R, not my 10R.

This weeks little classic on the subject of ordering bike parts is
that I ordered double bubble screens for both my 10R and Adies R1 and
a baglux tank cover and tank bag for the 10R. Guess what's the only
    thing to arrive so far?

Close but not quite on the mark.

Let's just say that Adie's R1 has got a nice black double bubble
    screen on it.

Is there, anywhere, an entire dealer network that cares?

Or isn't it always down to finding the few shops
in said network that really give a shit and try their
best, notwithstanding the arseholes in the other shops?

Thanks for the update Wessie, most appreciated. I suppose I just use Bristol
for all under warranty servicing and use Mike afterwards.

Its a shame as the bikes are great.

    Cheers
