Running In new engine

    Why do you think they would treat race bikes the same way they would treat a
    new bike for road use? If engine parts wears out prematurely in a race bike,
    they just replace them. They probably replace them even if they haven't worn
    out.

    You said they don't do it (ie break-in running hard). Am I thick or are
    you confused?

    Are you SURE they don't break 'em in hard?

    You have a point unless you really get better power from breaking-in
    hard as WELL as longer life.
