I had a more official looking one many moons ago but mislaid it

So I reckon there must be does and don'ts.

What are they?

My newsreader complains about my sig being more than 4 lines every time I
post. I guess it's a relic of the dark old days.

It's just netiquette. The same as how you start or end a letter. In
reality freedom of expression breeds diversity; something the internet

It's probably also a throwback to the days when bandwidth was limited
and having chapter six from _War and Peace_ at the end of each Usenet
post, would have been somewhat antisocial;
