What are the rules if you bin it when having a ride on a friends bike ?

"Muck" asked pleasantly Not yet, I want to... but have only been around here a week or so. I have arranged to meet people from here, over the next couple of weeks, who have e-mailed me directly. It seems that quite a proportion of UKRM are from the south (ie. South of Manchester) so I am guessing the meets are that way? Let me know, oh and if I do go, free rides on me bike are not going to happen, even with qualifying insurance.

Google for EOSM - happening in the Black Horse, Hulland Ward, Derbyshire in a couple of weeks. There's always plenty of others in attendance that are very generous with their bikes. I'm not one of them though.
you look like a 2nd-hand car salesman, and your daughter's the ugliest child I've seen in ages, though that's hardly surprising given the look of you and your wife.
Hypothetical. On a run yesterday my friend had a classic lowside, his front tyre slide out underneath him on a slow sharp downhill left hander. The bike slid across the road and landed in a mossy ditch about 15 feet below the road (steep hillside). Thanks are due to the passing motorist who helped us drag/ride the bike back up to the road because it would have been very difficult with just the two of us because of the slippy moss. Even though it was slow (less that 20 or 30 mph) the left hand fairing is scratched and cracked a bit and the gear change lever pedal snapped off and wing mirror damaged. Easily fixed I guess, but still probably £240 for the panel £70 for the mirror and £15 for the pedal. We had planned to swap bikes at the end of that section so I could compare his YZF 750 against my CBR600 RR3. The YZF seems quite advanced for it's age but I guess I'll have to wait for next time. My opinion is that if he's willing to let me have a go then I'm willing to take on the risk of damage on the understanding that if it's repairable then it's repaired, if not then a similar replacement is found, all at my expense. Anyway, it brought home the risk I was about to take on when riding his bike and I was curious what others thought or had experienced. Especially since it's nearly EOSM CIAGM time.

Zan (CBR1000F) - www.zanziba.prodigynet.co.uk/pictures made up the following gibberish: Well, the latter one is easy = "I Think We Should Be Told". The former is out there in Google-land, however, I was mildly surprised to find reference to it here, also: http://www.bikegirl.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=154
I think his wife's probably into it - it must've taken a fair bit of facial pillow-rubbing to get a hairline that high.
