Looking for waterproof rucksack for use when riding - doesn't need to be
huge (e.g. don't need to be able to store helmet) but comfortable to
    use.

Thinking about the Givi T412 which is < £50

I go to an old army surply store in Bishops Stortford for stuff like
    that.

I can imagine that would be very frightening, yes.

I don't mind it actually - hardly notice it's there.

  5. What he said. It's bloody irritating and makes your back sweat. I
started with a rucksack and moved on the panier things - much better
    they were.

    YMMV however.

Since I've had to use it again recently - I have a Cargo Endurance -
    it's ok and mostly waterproof - even in a a full-on british summer. I
did manage to break part of one of the zipper tags within 3 weeks of
    buying it which annoyed me.

    Have fun,

and for a "third way" - I had an Oxford magnetic tankbag, that had
straps to convert into a rucksack for use off the bike.

  7. You might not think that should you have an off with a rucksack on.
Especially if it has hard lumpy things in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no safety Nazi and often wore rucksacks until I
    got the ZZR with boxes.

Very pleased with the baglux tank cover and bag for the Voxan. Magnetic
tank bags are not an option when you have no proper tank. The bag is
reasonably OK to carry round with the shoulder strap if not too full of
    heavy gear.

A mate who is seriously considering a KTM SM950 or a Morini Corsaro 1200
was complaining about the trend towards high exhausts under the seat
which make it difficult to use conventional throwovers. The new baglux
sports saddlebags look like the answer.
