    Any good?

A guy at work is selling a hardly-used one-piece for £80. Is this a bargain?

Depends if it comes with the harness.

Not really, they are well known for stitching failure in normal use. I
wouldn't trust them in a crash situation.

Dunno about the later ones but I bought a cheapone a few years ago -
two 'kevlar' panels over my collarbone fell out within a year and were
replced (along with a third that was still intact) at some cost by
    Hideout Leather.

The suit then went on to more-or-less protect me in an 80mph highside,
    though it needed repairing.

You'll be needing a track bike to go with them...

    I know, I know.

    They wouldn't match, anyway.

I've seen that bike. They'd be bound to match a *bit* of it...

Don't be daft, the paint wouldn't stick to the leather.

I got one for around the secondhand price you quoted at a show, new.
It looks ok still, but hasn't had an awful lot of use.
Mine look reasonable quality for the price, not crashed in them though
    yet ...
